Crusades-Crescent & the Cross

by Celin Thomas

Nobody really wants to be reminded about War & Unecessary killings, people like Hitler & many Imperial regime Leaders have done enough of that for us to study History in school & college. History inevitably repeats itself, read on…

But the CRUSADES, were organised by the Papacy (office of the Pope,the religious head of Roman Catholics all over the world). The crusades still considered as a major battle fought in the name of Christ, was actually a planned strategy by the Papacy to curb the spread of Islam in Israel.

The Crusades that began in the 11th century i.e. the medieval era,was spread across the Europe & Britain as a fight for redemption & salvation in the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. Unwise aka Stupid men gathered in flocks to seek redemption & salvation as bribed by the Papacy.

Papacy organised a bloodbath in the name of Christ & was intended to spread Christianity on the power of Sword. They also intended to convert Jews , Bahais & Orthodox Christians which posed a threat to the Papacy’s influence(Catholic Faith rather Catholic Church) across the Globe.Papacy intended to be a super power at the behest of the Christian Faith in Jesus.

Now compare the Crusades with today’s brewing circumstances that is the perfect recipe for a third world war.
American Congress=Papacy,
jerusalem=oil/petroleum,
islam=islamic nations (with petroleum reserves)

Most of the American technology is driven by petroleum. The very sustenance of their economy that supports their so called standard of living is actually threatening the global energy reserves.Unfortunately, any person who takes the President’s position in the Congress will pursue the same goal like Bush to make war with Islamic nations in the name of Al Qaeda or Bin Laden, totally overlooking the fact that they( Islamic Fundamentalists) were actually bred by the American Congress.Terrorism is the baby of America & a curse to our existance

According to the prophecy the King of Terror is th one who is going to wage the Third World War. So although now that US has moved away from Afghanistan to Iraq but to exert its Superpower status globally; it’ll look for a another punching bag. So whether it’ll be Iran, North Korea or Pakistan. My Suggestion to US, please stabilise your economy first than do whatever you wanna do inf future.

Howdy! Mr. President.

A Simple Prayer for good thoughts

by Celin Thomas
Meditation is a slow healing process. It slowly works as a tonic which will spring one back to life and will also give one the spirit to enjoy life. Meditation is often misunderstood or sometimes even tagged as boring and complicated by many. But it is actually quite simple; all it requires is patience, dedication and discipline.
In my opinion meditation is the best form of prayer; in fact praying is also a type of meditation. To begin with, we can start focusing on something that holds our attention for a longer time. Something that we love, we adore and most importantly something in which we place our faith in. Faith plays a very important role here. It only works if you show enough faith in the action. It’s like a belief, which is also a deeply rooted philosophy or an ideology. Basically, the very core of our existence.
Meditation can enrich one with the life force necessary to function with a balanced state of mind. In simple words, few minutes dedicated to yourself will help you restore mental peace and harmony, even while your life continues to seem chaotic. The real chaos is actually in the mind. We become victims of situations only when we lose track of what we really would want to do at that moment. This disconnect is mainly due to lack of focus and peace and balance within. Our mind controls us and we accordingly control the situation around us. Hence, it is certain that the only way to react in a particular desirable manner to a situation/individual is by means of controlling our mind.
It is also a good practice to occasionally pen down our thoughts, just to keep a tab on how our thoughts are progressing and more importantly in which direction. Positive thoughts will give you hope and harmony and negative will do just the opposite. Hence, our thoughts are responsible for our mood swings, in other words the way we feel at any given moment.
The good part of this whole mind game is that, you are the orchestrating it and this orchestra is for your own entertainment. So, you can also chose the genre as you may please. So tune on to comedy, happiness and peace. Look for dreams and wonderful memories and live with them to put you in a positive state of mind as you are meditating and then affirm yourself repeatedly of how you would like your life to be in the next moment. Be bold and ask, ask yourself. Asking yourself is actually a wonderful exercise to self-discovery. You will know your potentials and also limitations. It’s a wonderful journey to embark upon. To seek the truth is also to discover oneself. And as the Bible says, ‘Seek and ye shall find’.

If Gods were still human?

Gods have walked amongst us as men and women and even as children to inspire us to live holistic lifestyles. Gods have inspired culture, communication and have always been a conundrum. Their deaths have often inspired formation of religions and even legions, so to speak.

A little of what they said and did ever got documented and hence begins the process to find what is true and what is farce. I believe everybody knows deep down what is right and what is wrong, from the beginning itself. But mostly people cannot take a stand as they cow down to the societal norms and are simply too afraid to take another path, thus they tread the beaten path; as it is the safest bet.

Sexcapades, scandals and SWAMIJI

Where there is man, there ought to be some action. Swami Nityananda’s recent sex escapades have put a question mark to the very aspect of faith. Now today, even if a holy man descends or ascends amongst us, we may never accept him as we may classify him to be the infamous “Dhongi Baba”.

Nityananda has also claimed about his sex tape as experimentation. If that is experimentation, then he should be upfront about it. His disciples are trying their best to emulate him; I guess if they revere him, they’ll also accept his sexual experiments as a part of religious practise and studies.

The act of sex is classified as materialistic requirement by various doctrines and religious denominations. Lust for sex and greed for money makes one human and even evil. Swami Nityanada may find it difficult to earn people’s faith in him again. People do understand simplicity of a swami’s life and since they find it difficult to renounce the materialism of the world; they try to support and encourage the one who is capable of forsaking materialism. Swami Nityananda’s property and assets run into crores of Indian currency. This proves one thing that his disciples bestowed a great deal of faith in him.

Today, if many are scandalised or consider Swami Nityananda as a fraud then maybe they feel so as they placed their faith in him for a certain image that he (Swamiji) had built about himself over a period of time. Swami Nityananda has toyed with emotions and faith both alike and together. It is hard enough for average humans to abstain & detach themselves; we should not give the status of God to a man who has yet to evolve to that level.

The role of spiritual gurus and religion is to help individuals in a cultured society to identify the path of spirituality and to adhere to it. Hence, it is our responsibility also to select the right guru to keep us on track. Religion is an effective tool of communication in any corner of the world, for centuries sensibilities have been played with and abused for the benefit of a surreal cause. Crusades, communal riots, holocaust, etc. are a testimony to extreme acts of violence associated with cruel intentions of a few people who claimed to know the gospels/religious texts well.

The one thing that every religion always preaches is peace, love, care and to share. These are few things to be learned to cohabit in a mutually dependent cultured civilisation. Since we are literate and educated beings, we can access these texts on our own and even comprehend them. All we need to do is have a little faith and look deep within ourselves for answers; if the goal is to attain ultimate truth.

If your goal is to acquire only wisdom then knowledge provided by certain teachers of religious studies would also help so will reading book on theology. Following a preacher and tagging him God, will only mislead you from your path of knowing the truth. Perhaps he/she is genuine enough then you could respect for their accomplishments and hope to aspire to be at their level someday.
